There's no way a female can master BJJ you'd have to get used to taking hits like these and still being able to maintain consciousness to pull off that arm bar:

LOL im not knocking jujitsu but it aint practical for what I do. Show me a video of someone using jujitsu while getting hit from 4-5 motherfukkers
a woman is not going to beat up four or five men at the same time in most people who fight four or five men at once lose trained or not if the men are in decent shape. you show me a video of an average man beating up four or five men who are in decent shape stop it

women are more likely to be held down and raped or attacked by one man and held down to be killed when they are to be jumped by four or five men at one time unless they are planning a rape gang style.

this is where jujitsu comes in because the odds of multiple attackers on a woman is less likely than one on one especially when you consider how many women get into physical altercations on a domestic level.

the fact that you bring up four or five min to beat up one woman who knows jujitsu is a credit to the art bow down

You do know there's a such thing as lower body takedowns (singles, doubles), right? Those are made to go under punches.

I wouldn't trust to be around someone's legs during a fight. idk. BJJ sounds more like wrestling but that's not effective irl when you gotta keep your head on a swivel. In terms of straight firepower with your limbs...how is the answer not boxing or kickboxing?

Well technically, one would rather be on the feet in a street fight situation cuz you're quite vulnerable on the ground while grappling so yes, one would rather use stand up arts. However, you at least want to be well rounded and have options, and there's more ways for say...a female grappler to take someone down other than the Ronda approach of getting past hands to get a judo clinch. Hell, wrestling alone gives you the ability to slam someone then get up immediately. One good slam to the concrete or hard floor could end a fight alone.

You got to learn some form of grappling (wrestling, bjj, sambo, etc.)

And some form of striking (kickboxing, muy thai, boxing, etc.)
Which one would you learn first:mjpls:

And realistically do most people have the time and energy to get good at 2 different disciplines?

I would learn grappling because thats the area I think I'm weakest in.

I think in this day and age you cant say you know how to how to fight if you cant defend yourself standing up and on the ground.

Judo and Muay Thai/kickboxing would be ideal in my opinion. I'm a bjj enthusiast but the aspects of bjj that would most be helpful in a street fight (holding someone down and controlling them) is there in Judo along with actually taking them down. Too many bjj schools now just teach sports bjj which is based on a point system and not realistic in the real world. Place I first trained at forbid pulling guard and stressed the importance of taking people down and dominating from the top whether it be just controlling them or pummeling their faces into a pulp. It's become all about berimbolos and fancy guards. Don't get me wrong they are impressive but if we talking street fighting, stay away from sports bjj
