As a dude whose seen it all, what are you expecting? Is the near future looking like the 70s 80s or 90s?
I ain't see the 70s nukka!! :sadcam:

It's just different from the past years. More exciting and cleaner play with defense still being a major component of the game without looking ugly.

Soooooooooooo much young talent to look forward to.

Been saying it for a minute now, NBA is the consensus no. 2 pro sport in the US behind the NFL by FAR, and it's been there since the 2008 season. The Celtics forming their "big 3" kickstarted league interest, and then it went into overdrive when LeBron formed his Big 3 in Miami. We've been seeing record setting ratings year after year after year now. The nice thing about the NBA formula is it's a star driven league..your team could play in bumfuk Nebraska but if they have one of the most dynamic players in the game it'll draw huge numbers. That's why we're seeing record ratings between GS-Cle, and that's why teams like OKC are huge TV draws.

Brehs this is a classic series in the making. Every possession in the second half had me like :lupe: especially from Cleveland because you always have a feeling that if the Cavs don't score that GS finna score for sure on the other hand and when it doesn't happen your like :whew:. Tension like a motherfukka cause you just expect GS to go on a crazy run at somepoint and on the other hand you like whats Bron gonna do next :dwillhuh:

NBA lucky that's its top teams always make it to championship. MLB playoffs are legit tossups and you end up with some random ass matches in a World Series every couple years. An NBA finals featuring Memphis vs Atlanta wouldn't move any units. NBA is guaranteed to have a marquee star in its final last final I remember with fringe draws was the NJ/SA final in 03. MLB and NHL have more parody but come championship time that shyt turns into an L ratings wise.

NBA and NHL are doing very well. MLB, not so much.
