• Bigger dating pool
• More employment opportunies

• Sense of community
• You see what you want to see, unlike traditional media, where you see what they tell you to see

Cons

• Fake news
• Bots
• Trolls
• People complaining about social media, while using social media

All in all, I think it's a net positive personally.
