These stories always baffle me. I've lived in places where if you don't pay your rent by the 5th day of the month they are charging you extra and if you don't pay within a few days of that they are busting in and kicking you out. How you manage to just keep on living there for a whole 2 fukkin years and nothing was done. That is crazy.

Didnt watch vid, but from filing paperwork in tenant court to Sheriff's locking out the tenants is about a 3-4 month process in this state. Different in each state. Probably longer in the state in OP vid.

Landlord delayed filing paperwork and starting the process in hopes that tenant would pay the back rent. Once you file, you generally wont receive rent as tenant knows they are on the way out, anyway.
