Make sure your words are powerful enough so that kids will listen to you. Teach your children properly, instill values and even fear in them. Make it so that your children feel extreme guilt for disappointing you.
Take away privileges. You don't have to resort to beating your children. If an adult can't use their wisdom, intellect and experience to control a child's mind, then you lost
Sometimes you gotta beat your son's ass man....period....After the age of 10\11 is when most of that stuff you posted applies....

I do have 2 kids and what @Ronnie Lott said is absolutely correct.
