I personally hate holidays like that and Valentine's day. We show appreciation to them (our moms and SOs) on the daily, so why the fukk do we need an official day to spend more money on them / give them EXTRA love?

I would say that Father's day is another one like that, but men in general aren't coddled and tended to by society like women are, so I'll give that one a pass.

Plus, no one really gets their father shyt on that day anyways

I’m more of an act of service person than gift giver but I do both. This year I did use your idea for ValenBirthdayVersary, she got Beyonce tickets. Good Beyonce tickets at that and a tea set. I did the math and basically realized shopping for gifts for all 3 would annoy me so I surprised her with the tickets. Mother’s Day was acts of service, rest, relaxation, and I cooked all of her favorite foods. She’s a new mom, kids are 3 and 1, plus Mother’s Day hits her hard. I can’t afford to get it wrong lol

I cooked for my Mom & lady for Mother's Day. I did it this past Friday. Bought both some gifts. Didn't mind because, they are worth it!

I prefer not go out on Mother's day. Isn't worth the hassle & long wait.

Other than that, good mothers deserve a day to be celebrated & appreciated!
