I’m sorry but I agree with Get these nets and Yogi why are fathers not included in this study?. Two of the highlighted points include:

•”African American men, and exposing them to African American men who express healthy versions of masculinity”

•“For sons, mothers worked to provide them with exposure to other African American men who could help them understand how to navigate the world as a black boy and man”



These are fathers responsibilities no? Why are these women taking on the this responsibility? And why wasn’t this asked?

it doesn't change the outcome, black boys will be viewed as a threat to outsiders while black girls are oversexualized by outsiders...don't matter if you got 1, 2, or 7 parents in your house. someone is going to need to prepare you for the biases you face a black kid, especially if you're in a mixed or highly white school
