No. This phone is far cheaper with no front camera and has Galaxy S2 specs. Moto X is much more modern. The Moto E a very low end phone meant for countries like India and Brazil. The Moto G is already the most popular phone in these two countries. I've been to Brazil before, that phone sells like hotcakes. It simply means budget phones are where the money is now. Not high end like Galaxy S5 or HTC One M8.

This phone is basically for feature phone users who can't afford a Moto X or Moto G and don't want to spend too much money on an expensive smartphone that they won't know how to to use. It also serves as a good ipod replacement with the integrated SD card installed.

That won't change anything. Motorola admitted in the beginning that the reason they get the latest updates on the Moto X and G is because they use stock android. They never had any early access a code from Google at all.

Lenovo is going to benefit from the talent from Motorola has right now. Lenovo is already the number 4 smartphone manufacturer in the world. They're gonna use Motorola to get into the US market.

I got a Moto G shyt goes for me until I decide which premium phone I want. Wish I waited because they came out with a 4g version.
