I know we have an official motorcycle thread however I thought I would post this on it own as we have a collection of riders in TLR. Rossi, one of the top motorcycle racers of the last 10 yrs damn near had his head torn off by a wrecked bike headed his way. I have done a few track days on my bikes but nothing to the level of what these guys do out there, and it shows anything can happen at any moment. Imagine having to shake this off and go back out there and try to compete for top 3 spot. I've been to a few MotoGP races, never seen anything like this where you nearly escape death twice.

EDIT: added onboard video

Nonsensical fear mongering, the mortality rates in professional motorsports are low

Exactly, these riders are in airbag suits and $3,500 helmets. Rarely do you hear of a death on the track, last one we lost was Nicky Hayden (RIP) and got hit by a car on his bicycle while out training,

Safety has increased dramatically since the 1980's (thanks in large parts to the introduction of carbon fibre monocoques), but that shyt is still inherently dangerous and yes, anything can happen at any time.

And this happened in a junior category
