I played like a few hours of Warband last year and liked the general concept of the gameplay, but held off on playing more when I heard about this coming out. I've put in around 14 hrs so far. I enjoy the game, but theres not a TON to do at the moment.

Just now getting my first castle . Slaughtered everybody with only 70 men :demonic:

Convinced an enemy lord to join me, he brought over a city my new empire ,
Gave him another castle I recently captured :win:. boss shyt .

And then this bytch flipped and went back to the enemy :wtf:

When i catch him I’m murdering him and his entire family :demonic:.

Already seen his wife’s party a few towns over . Might have fun with that first :steviej:.

Just be aware you won’t be able to control your army and stuff with it I guess. I haven’t delved too deeply into the game as of yet. Will probably do it tonight . Hopefully full controller functionality will be added later .

Probably true. Tbh trying to control your troops with the directional pad was jank af.

Put in about 5 hours today. Got the call that because of Ohio stay at home order I won’t we back to work until May 1st at the earliest. Guess I’ll try to stay sober and get some impressions going thru the next week :skip:

much better introduction/tutorial than warband singleplayer. :ehh:

washing these bum ass ai leaders in duels is :pachaha:

gonna try mp today i guess :manny:

I've been bingeing Warband through this lockdown. You all don't want any of that Khergit smoke :demonic::bustback:

Unfortunately I'm going to need to upgrade my laptop if I want to run Bannerlord, and I can't justify spending four figures right now for this reason alone. My current laptop does what I actually need a laptop to do just fine

Vanilla, I can't figure out how to get the mods I want installed because WarbandScriptEnhancer doesn't work with Steam.

The mods I've seen on YouTube that interest me are 1258 AD and Imperial Rome, but you need WSE to run them

I liked 1257 AD, that's mainly what I played.

Just tried the game last week. This is pure crack :wow:

The epicness of a 500v500 desert battle is unmatched, same when you're breaking into a castle with archers shooting and a whole army is behind :wow: I wasnt much into strategy stuff but this thing is wild. That feeling in a close battle when forces are evenly matched and then suddenly you see the casualty list going all green and its no stopping the momentum :ahh:

Might pick this up, it's 40 quid on early access still but everything I hear is positive, the potential mods to come are eye opening and the battles look immense. Anyone still playing or
looking to buy soon? I always heard good things about Warband but have never played either

It's worth it IMO. I've racked up hundreds of hours in this last year and it's really entertaining. The only issue really is the end game that is a bit boring but otherwise, I've had plenty of fun. They could also increase some of the everyday life things to make kingdom management more immersive but I don't think it matter that much.

I didnt play it much this year because I'm waiting on some of the new updates and also some of the mods I was playing with didnt get updated yet but that game is worth it with just castle sieges and desert battles.

Thanks, appreciate it, ive watched a lot of videos and yeah looks great, the only consistent negative seems to be the end game as you mentioned. Other than that it all looks really entertaining... And apparently the mods to come are gonna be wild. Any particular mods you are looking forward to? Im still getting my head around the mod capabilities on pc tbh.. Some crazy stuff gets done

Actually one of the rare games I've looked up online with very little negativity surrounding it, you know how people are usually

There are already great mods. Here's a list that I was using :
- Calradia Expanded + Kingdoms (create more settlements and cultures so you have more enemies overall)
- Realistic Battle Mod (so an archer can't one shot some heavy armor soldier from afar)
- My Little Warband (create your own troom tree)
- Settlement Culture Changer (so when you take a castle, the troops that spawn there afterwards are your own or from the same culture as yours)
- Diplomacy ( brings civil wars, breakaway factions, corruption and so on in the playhrough )
- Dismemberment Plus (limbs become choppable, makes the battlefield even more gory :picard:)

There are some huge ones that I never tried but everybody likes like :
- CA Rising (play in the Roman empire times)
- Freelancer (play as a soldier)
I know there's also a Game of Thrones mod in development and also some others in ancient Japan or fantasy type universe with magic and stuff.

For the mods, you just need to go to Nexusmods here : Mods :: Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
