Everest is starting to become unclimbable because of the unstable melting snow. It was already turning into a joke. They have lines queuing up there are so many people doing it
And people just hiring sherpas to lug their gear to make it even easier. I watched a documentary where a guy with artificial legs climbed it. He got to the top but the sherpas carried him down

I’ve heard of situations like this but the logical thinking is that climbers are hallucinating due to the conditions and altitude

Anyways I followed up with a friend on social media I think it was last fall or winer and they were hiking up to the base camp at Everest I was pretty surprised but knew they loved to hike... anyways over the course of their hike they came across a sick hiker twice who should've tuned back. Later on they came across him again at a camp and tired to give him cpr but he ultimately died. Probably from pulmonary edema. They said his group and wife were unfazed by it.
