Are you you? Is that why you're offended by those who oppose the promotion of effeminate black men in the media?

the thread title suggests that Axe is emasculating Black men by showing a clip of Black men wearing heels. If you oppose the promotion of effeminate Black men in the media, that's fine but that's a different argument.

This commercial is an example of effeminate black men being promoted in the media tho:lupe:
So how it a different argument?

Axe is actually a product that's promoted to attract women so I don't even get why a man wearing heels would be a target demographic for their product. This seems like gratuitous promotion of effeminate black men which is basically the point.

I just explained how they are. What part of "they're gratuitously promoting effeminate black men in their commercial" don't you get?

promoting effeminate Black men does not emasculate Black men, the men in that video are already 'emasculated'.

:comeon:aiight my nikka, now that we got the semantics down, can we talk about how axe is PROMOTING the emasculation of the black man as well as the idea of ugly crackers taking gorgeous black bedwenches?

of course you can, I was just pointing out that once you're wearing heels, the "emasculation" process is already complete.

First you tried say that this was a different conversation tho:heh:

It's not about the men in the commercial. It's about the young black boys who see commercials/programming promoting effeminate black men being influenced into thinking that being effeminate is cool/normal. Do you also deny that the promotion of black male criminals in the media has led to the criminalization of back men?

young Black boys aren't going to look at an Axe commercial and think being 'effeminate' is cool, they'll see men in heels and will believe it's odd that those men are wearing heels and dancing that way or they'll assume those men are gay. Believe it or not, the people shown in that video actually exist outside of that video, showing them in a commercial isn't in the same category as depicting Black men as criminals in media which does in fact lead to criminalization of Black men, what do you suggest showing Black men wearing heels will lead to, an uptick of Black boys wanting to wear heels, I think that's absurd.
