Bad guys killing their own henchmen for minor mistakes. It's fine if you want to get establish how evil the villain is but this same villain tends to have the other bad guy cliche of sparing the heroes life multiple times throughout the movie.

Way too many shows still get people smoking bud wrong. Character gets high and instantly becomes a flower child who can't function in even the most basic circumstance.

Horror film one.

Scene: Tense build up, music is getting faster, person is in their house and is being hunted/stalked by a killer...they do something to find the killer e.g open closet door, or walk around the corner, or pull back the shower curtain and it’s nothing there and the music goes silent

Then about 2 seconds later the killer surprises them from behind

It happens so much in horror films I know know not to get shook. It’s a delayed tactic. They did it a few times recently in IT and I was just chilling there like “I knew that shyt was coming “
