The ending scene and song from Last American Virgin has been burned into my mind ever since I saw the movie at 11. It is without a doubt the epitome of phrase “Nice guys finish last”.

This poor fool sold most of his possessions and borrowed money from his boss so he could pay for his crush’s abortion, because the guy who got her pregnant didn’t anything to do with her after he found out about her condition.
After the procedure, the mugu helps nurse her back to health and even goes as far as to proclaim his love for her, to which she “reciprocates” with a kiss.
Jump forward a week after, the following ensues...

One of the GOAT and darkest endings of a teen movie in cinematic history.
When James Ingram started hitting them notes... that scene had me like when I first saw it as a kid.
