Here's another one.
Equlibrium:
Everyone assumed it would be a low budget Matrix ripoff.
I know this is kind of shallow, but if they had called the movie "GUNKATA" and cut the trailer together out of these scenes, I bet it would have made more money

Sucker Punch![]()
came in here to post this and requiem of a dream. requiem was rated nc17 and altho they double the profit, it should have been way bigger. it was one of the realest movies id ever seen. down to the acting and editing. that movie is epic and highly underrated.
on a lighter note: is Hancock considered a flop? i just saw it recently and notice no one ever talks about it. I was entertained.![]()

Charlie Wax could've been a contenderEverybody already said most of the movies I was gonna say
Scott Pilgrim I think was just a few years too early
Dredd definitely should have been a hit.
The Nice Guys should not have been released inbetween CW and X-men. It got sent out to die.
Speed Racer is oneo fthose flicks you watch and then regret not seeing it in the theaters
The one movie I think should have been a hit but flopped that no one has said is From Paris with Love. That was a fun ass flick![]()

The A Team was good?nah I'm seriously asking I never seen it.
The Losers Flopped - kinda funny because looking back at it now this movie had an all star cast. Chris Evan's was hilarious in this
Thankfully Gattaca has now been recognized as a sci fi classicGATTACA
Lucky Number Slevin
Smokin Aces
Attack the Block
The Serpent and the Rainbow
Another movie of his that flopped that I quite enjoyed was year of the dragon with Mickey Rourke. The initial response to Heaven's Gate killed Michael Cimino's career after he won an oscar for Best Director(Deer Hunter). Had a critical reassessment when the directors cut dropped and is now considered one of the greatest movies of all time
Adding to the thread:
Annihilation
Big Trouble In Little China
Event Horizon
Shawshank Redemption
The 13th Warrior
The Iron Giant
Breh...some of those long single take tracking shots were justdon't know if this was posted,,,,,,,, this film was pure crack rock
