This was a good movie and Anthony Quinn's big return to cinema, it didn't deserve to get panned like it did. It's my personal favorite Tony Scott film.

Dredd should be a huge franchise too tho.

That shyt was too true to a big budget ol school rated r conversion to not get sequels.

Dredd was fantastic, and I'm mad that I didn't see it in theaters. Karl Urban played that role they eat it should've been played. Dude kept the helmet on throughout the entire movie and was stone cold the whole time. Dredd definitely should have been a huge franchise.

this was one of those movies.
where they just did not draw for that time like that for some reason.
movies like this need to be looked into to see where the ball was dropped. Or not even allowed to even know it dropped. I wanna say it got lost in the old school idea.
of post the movie poster up and they will come.
nostalgia era that died off a long time ago.

like somebody stole the pr budget from the movie hidden on the books.

don't watch trailers breh.
only if you in a movie in the theatre.

other than that. It will ruin it for you.
just keep you eye on the coming soon list and dates.
it makes it more enjoyable.
I miss being a shawty and my parents would just have like this surprise for you at theatre back in the day.
or spontaneously be like wanna see another movie and take me in some rated r shyt like two bosses.

I still remember my parents taking me to raiders and fist of fury at the chinese theatee.
where i did not know wtf we were going to see at all.
I know we were going to see some dope shyt because i was little and they had that coy pond. so i knew whenever we went to the wishing fish pond theatre. It was going to be life fuel.
I did not know the name of the movie none of that.
just like star wars, godfather, and rocky horror.

my parent walked in rocky horror with an umbrella and a little one for me and i was did not even know wtf an umbrella was then either. I was mad little. I just remember when they did the time warp. In thr movie theatre. I had the movie experience of a lifetime. So when we went to raiders and fist of fury I ain't ask no questions.

in fist of fury I discovered Bruce lee and the movie was so serious. That to this day it is my favorite Bruce flick. Came out on lifetime charge.
on raiders i did not even know the name.
all i know is my parents took me in the Chinese theatre. then, finally when i got a look at who was on screen I recognized. I was like that's han solo.

oh i am so in.

then molina gets killed. Which i think was my first horrific implied movie death. PLUs the first time i ever heard what a booger trap was. Lol,...boobie trap.
when the giant ball chases indy. From there i was in bliss with movies.

movies used to be so good as a shawty. If you watched jaws at the dinner table and a cousin sang the theme. You ain't even let your legs dangle from your chair at dinnertime. Thinking the floor was lava and filled with jaws.

I miss that about movies and i don't see the same for kids.
you leave clash of the titans and need that oegasus and Perseus action figure with the sword. lone ranger rated r. Way to adult but you still begging for the experience and the action figure as consolation.

I miss that ol school quality about movies.

The Director's Cut saves this movie. Saw it originally in theaters and left wondering what the hell I just watched. Years later I saw the DC on TV and it fleshes the movie out a lot more.
Nah man, the video game saved that shyt. If it wasn't for Butcher Bay I would never have given it a second chance.

The Shawshank Redemption closed in late November 1994, after 10 weeks with an approximate total gross of $16 million. It was considered a box-office bomb, failing to recoup its $25 million budget, not including marketing costs and the cinema exhibitors' cuts.
