Should change “event” to “iconic” in thread title.
The reason I didn’t want to say iconic was i’m trying to get at that “you had to be there” feeling when the movie came out. You can listen to RKelly today and know thats a classic song, but it’s not the same as being there when it was all over radio and tv.

That reasoning doesn't sound good. I was 5 when The Bodyguard came out. Never saw the movie, but I knew about the song years after it dropped. I knew it was iconic, and I didn't know it was from a movie until my teens.

Event sounds stupid if we're being honest. :ld:

Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. I don't know the song, but it's playing in my head.

Harry Potter — more like theme music, as it doesn’t have lyrics. Same instance with Twilight and Bella’s Song.
