Apocalypse Now Directors cut was something I made kids watch, when I came in as guest professor lol in cinematography class, lol. The original cut was good but the directors cut is like an ODB album gotta watch multiple times to see the angles.

Yea Kingdom of Heaven might be the GOAT directors cut. I actually feel bad for Orlando Bloom, his career may have went in a different direction had the movie been released as intended. And for a movie about the Crusades it was actually pretty objective, history, acting and violence in a beautiful tapestry.

Yeah the directors cut is brilliant of Apocalypse, it adds so much more depth. I won't watch the non directors cut anymore.

I actually just threw on KOH directors cuts a few minutes ago. Yeah, Orlando bloom really has had a lack luster career he's still relatively young though. It's a shame.
Eva Greene made out pretty well. Mostly indie films but I've liked all the ones I've seen.

Americans don't do well with 3 hour movies.

that's a bold statement. I'll have to check it out. I just remember the acting/writing being absolutely atrocious.

What all did they change/add in the cut? Was it substantial?
It basically expands every characters relationship with each other, fights get more time, and everything just flows better. It also gives characters like the people at the comic stand guys more dialogue which helps the ending alot.

And if you peep the Ultimate Cut they throw Tales of The Black Freighter into the story which makes it feel just like Alan Moore wanted it too.
