Them playing with the idea of beastiality in that scene was wild even back then. Robert Zemeckis was nuts.
Recently caught License To Drive a few weeks back and that scene with the drunk guy stealing the car was so over the top and just overall bad. The chic Mercedes was low key ugly too. Don't understand why Corey Haim was chasing after her.

I even think escape from New York is mad dated. Good flick still just dated. Probably an unpopular opinion but that's my take.

It still kind of holds up because it was Low budget, it had all practical effects, it has that classic 80s synth soundtrack and the story was actually good with a memorable character in Snake Plisskin. It's a classic whereas escape from LA was dated just a few years after its release. Its sillier than the first and its lighter tone makes it seem like a made for TV movie on the syfy channel.

lol this is me 1000000%. I’m pretty sure I can recite atleast 75% of the movie. I love it to death. And the other comments about it, yeah, Fisher Stevens‘ character is comically bad lol. But I don’t care, this movie will always be a desert island pick for me.
Napoleon Dynamite. When that shyt first dropped I was a heavy smoker so it was nothing to get high and just laugh at that weird shyt. I put that movie on a month ago and couldn’t even make it past 20 minutes shyt as so bad

Easily a desert island movie, and one of those movies where if it's on TV on some random afternoon or something, I'm writing off the next couple of hours or whatever's left to watching it.
