You have to know when the position is lost and let go. :snoop: Thats how you end up getting slammed or getting stuffed on your neck. He didnt have much time to know it was time to let go.....but he had enough time to know that he should have let go. Thats a classic street jiujitsu counter there. Treat your training like real life and you dont do stuff like this that can take you out the game, forever.

I have a brown belt in jiujitsu, so yes i have trained. The reason he went upside down like that was because he anchored himself to his opponent with his grips. If he had his arms available to him he could have braced his fall and prevented that injury.

He should have let go but i doubt he figured that was what was going to happen. Alot of people get picked up like that and land on their upper back and are able to get back into a neutral position. Once he was airborne he had no solid position with his feet to offbalance his opponent and once he was upside down he really had nothing to brace his fall. His legs were stuffed in which isnt much of a spider guard. He unfortunately underestimated his opponents strength, anchored his body to his opponent and was injured. People not knowing when to abandon a position hurts people a lot unfortunately.
