How are y'all chopping shyt, I have an OG mpc live... I just been recording samples with it then exporting to fl studio and serato sample.

I chop on the mpc…. I record samples off YouTube and then manual chop…. Never liked auto chopping

I like dissecting shyt

Some advice.

Put some time in watching tutorial but also put some time in applying what you just watched even if it's on wack beats. You're just learning how to do what you just watched. Once you can do it over and over and knowing what each button or function does becomes second nature, then your beat making will improve because there's less barrier between your creativity and execution

I also hate the fact that if you're working with loops that the don't automatically adjust to the tempo of the song, it seems that would be simple for a machine like this.

Not a fan of Akai.

They are known to have bad tech support, A bad history supporting products longterm, workflow is overrated.

I would only drop money on their vintage gear, because they will increase in value. These new mpc's need to stand the test of time imo.

Those complaints are the exact reason why i'm still on a DAW.
And i'm not a musician so im gon need me a mouse to write melodies and chords.

They have PayPal perform that plays chords a d gives you the scale as well as different scales and dope progression

Ive ordered an MPC Live 2 which should be with me tomorrow, super fukking gassed.

The Maschine was dope but I had to get a standalone sampler, staring at the screen all day was destroying me.

Gonna link the MPC with the 404mk2. Being able to make beats anywhere I want to is going to be game changer for me.
