I’ve seen the KO 2 being reduced already.Roland MK3 and KO 2 gonna be cheap on the resell market![]()
It’s a cool device, my younger brother has one. It has a fast workflow. Would I buy it myself, no. But I did copy the sound pack onto the MPC.I’ve seen the KO 2 being reduced already.
You mean in regards to when you use the pad fx?This shyt is crazy. The only knock on it is that everything is on 1 track. There is only 1 track per sequence, but deleting sounds is easy. I assume you can just take the project you're working on and transfer it to the XL and explode the 1 track into multiple tracks.
You need to work with the limitations, that’s the challenge. From what I’ve seen you can resample the track (or sequence) onto a pad and build from there. My younger brother’s MPC Sample just arrived. He send me pictures. I’ll see it in a few days.
See Marley Marl’s workflow on the Ren, and how he explains the way he worked in the 80s.
no, you only get 1 track to use, but you get to layer the track as many times as you want. You can still eq each sound separately, so it's not a problem. My wife, mother in law, mother, and in laws always ask me, "why do you need so many different drum machines and keyboards"?You mean in regards to when you use the pad fx?
It's hard explaining to non musicians that everything has its own sound and work flow. You still have floppies?I love limitations. It's the reason I never upgraded the floppy drive in my MPC 3000 and SP 1200. the way I figure it, if I can't fit all I need for one beat on 1 disk, then I'm doing too much.
