A popular talking point until you realize kidd mentioned it after he had his ass handed to him in games 6 and 7, he played like 95% of the series, and went on to play what...8 more seasons? :camby: he was just styled on

He injured the knee during the season and played through it. Couldve had season ending surgery but decided against it. He had the microfracture surgery immediately after the series was over.

Im not saying chauncey didnt play his ass off because he did. That whole series was crazy tho..that triple OT game :wow:

Salute to Billups, no doubt. His career looked like it was headed for the scrapheap, and he overcame some bad coaching and poor situations to make a name for himself as a winner and consummate professional.

Would be curious to see someone adept at organizing statistics dig up his career numbers in the clutch, because I remember watching closely after he got the name "Big Shot" and noticing a whole lot of misses at the end of games.
:manny:
Everybody who is known as a clutch player is known to chuck up a lot of bricks at winning time.

Surprised he is liked like this. Dude never knew how to run a big and roll, lived a career off of trying to get people on jump shot fouls. Was not a great shooter when you look at his percentages on his ppg. Was a journey man till he ended up on detroit which was a product of a really well built team.

In his prime I think he was the ideal championship type of PG. Now Mike Conley is holding that torch as a steady, give you what you need leader.

Where is Rip Hamilton?? Was he even in the league last season?

Love
Always loved the guy even though he enjoyed fukking my team in the 04 and 05 playoffs when he was a Piston.
He and Ray Allen has caused Heat fans more heartaches than we can bear but still gotta salute these men :salute:

He also did the Derek Fisher "if I pull up the legs on my shorts, people will think I'm playing good defense" thing :lolbron:

:to: Possibly my second personal fav player all time next to Penny

I always saluted how he found himself after years of struggling in the league to show true leadership.

:salute: @ Chauncey and those mid 2000's Pistons squads
