Old money flexes just as hard as new money, if not more. Just becuase their buying land and houses doesn't mean that they are not flexing they just flexing in different ways. Rich snotty people who look down on new money are mostly likely pretentious ass holes. They flex there money paying lobbyist to pass bills that may effect your community but now we're suppose to think these people are using their money for good and better than someone buying some damn shoes. GTFORace aside, it's a big difference you see in people who come from money vs the poseurs/nouveau riche; Old money likes to keep a low profile and consider ostentatious displays to be gauche, while the people who try hardest to flex are people who aren't really rich but want you to think they are
