His videos end up recommended by YouTube so people unsubbed can see them. And the concepts are somewhat interesting (like recreating Squid Games during the Squid Games hype) so they click. I still haven't ever watched one
I just noticed his videos are translated into other languages (French, Japanese, Spanish, Korean probably more)complete with voice actors and everything, Pewdiepie doesn't have that. You can check by changing your language settings in youtube. Could have something to do with his crazy numbers.
So, I used to use an older Chromecast on the TV in my home office before I replaced it with a newer TV that had all that integrated. Any time I would cast something from YouTube to that TV, it would default to essentially the front page of YouTube if you weren't logged into any account.
Literally EVERY category, from "Trending now", "New to you", etc, had no less than three of his videos videos listed as options to watch. One time, an entire category was just his videos. Not a category like "Best of MrBeast, or anything like that, I think it was just something plain like "Popular in the United States", or something. Just nothing but a neverending row of him making slight variations of the Stupid YouTube Thumbnail Face.
Knowing that his mastery of the algorithm is on that level, I completely understand how this can be possible.

I think the most famous YouTuber I’ve seen was that kid who reviews toys. And that was because my nephew was watching it at my moms house.
I don’t see the value of following these guys. I’ll watch channels like NotJustBikes, Frontline, GCN for bicycle stuff. History Buffs, Oversimplified, Jon Stewart, Teddy Baldassarre if he is reviewing an interesting wristwatch. And a couple other stuff for news.
Why is Mr Beast even famous? What does he do? I get that he’s in the news now and then for being generous. But what did he do in the beginning to be rich enough to even be that generous? I mean this is my problem with following all these new famous people. They’re seemingly just famous for being famous. If you haven’t achieved anything, if you haven’t created anything, I usually don’t give a fukk.
