Don’t know, brehs that’s a pretty penny to spend when then haven’t seen the output from the newly acquired studios.

Then need a vast install base to recoup that type of investment, granted Microsoft has deep pockets. But that doesn’t mean you foolishly invest just cause you have it.

Maybe with their vision of being the Netflix for games it would not be totally dependent on how many consoles (IIRC their biggest install base was 80+ million with the 360) they sale but how many users are utilizing their service.

I love the mortal kombat series so this would be trash to me.

4 Billy is nothing to Microsoft for the most popular fighting game franchise and a few proven AAA studios. Clear win for them.


Edit: 4 billion might be too much for what they get. They have the money for it tho.

It would depend on how much revenue these studios can generate in the next few years, mortal kombat might clear close to a billion in revenue alone, which is why the asking price is so high, but I'm not sure.
