Girl Interrupted is slept on. I was kind of angry when I read that Interscope made Timbaland change the direction of the album. He and Jade were onto something with the sound that they had on the songs on the Clue tapes. "Dream", her re-make of Biggie's warning, stayed on repeat. "Stick Up Girl", and "Watch Ya" were up there too. Her album was supposed to be more "She's A Gangsta" and less "Big Head".

i dont know if its because the board is dumbed down or what.

but ms jade was way better than this chick, and better than most dudes talked about on here nowadays, but she got no-sold on this board when she was signed to beat club.

is this board open to female rappers all a sudden or is this a case of the new closet timbaland fanbase poppin out of the woodwork like they do every once in a while?
They riding that Timbaland c/s. Tink is an average ass singer, and her rhymes delivery aren't that dope. Timb's c/s is carrying her. Plus she sounds dead ass like nicki from her scotty beam me up days, voice, to flow, to cadence. I won't write her off, but she's not nice like the way this board is gassing her. Industry connect go a long way tho, so good for her for getting with the right team

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
I was wondering what happened to Ms. Jade, but never looked into it.

As far as the Tink situation, it's always gonna be some dikk-riders for the simple fact that the rap landscape (as far as what's popular nowadays) is looking rather desolate.

To a starving man, a cracker seems like a banquet.

I'm just glad to see more females in the game getting recognition.

Personally: 3D Na'tee >>> Tink

Without risking stealing Soundcloud links, I'll just post this:

http://www.hangwith.com/user/timbaland/8jNYyx9se6

I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but that video is basically:

UFO feat. Timbaland, Andre 3000, and Tink @ 0:00 - 3:06

Ratchet Commandments @ 7:29 - 10:40

Movin' Bass (Tink version) @ 10:41 - 13:46

Black Jeep @13:46 - 16:05

Just posting these songs because it gives everyone more of an idea of where she's at and more music to formulate an opinion.

Warning: Timbaland's still hyping the songs throughout the video to the point of ad-libbing and rapping along to the songs.

I like Ms. Jade, but she's being seriously overrated here.

1) She never really had a hit. The music was dope, but she didn't have a legitimate hit song.

2) Comparing her to Tink or vice versa at this point is pre-mature. Ms. Jade has an album and a few mixtapes. A lot of people have only heard 1.5-2 songs of Tink's while Jade has more material.

3) It's funny that after all these years and of all the discussions on female rappers, Ms. Jade all of sudden becomes topic after another Timbo produced female rapper gains steam.

dawg, in bulk and volume over time passing..
tink actually has way more work than ms jade.
especially, considering how mismanaged and delayed the actual ms jade album was.
as it was thrown out there with no real pr after a horrific delay.
one of the worst outside of paula perry on the female emcee side.
for a hopeful highly skilled female emcee, with a commercial appeal and mainline direction to draw from timbo.
plus, considering how much work.
tink has in comparison to ms. jade with no actual ramp up in skill like that.
let alone on jade's level at any point in jade's career.
it is easy to ascertain that jade is better.

plus, if tink was an actual prodigy as an emcee.
instead of just another bobby brown/ricky bell mca type model singer who raps.
like some female warped version of a single force md's.
erroneously, given a false claim as the next goat of the female rap game..
she would have been light years ahead of every timbo rapper, ever.
including ms jade, bubba and an rnb fueled missy.
when, real talk,....
she does not write rnb records on missy level at all, and never will.
nor, does she even rhyme on ms jade's level.
she does not even rhyme and construct records consistently as well as nyemiah supreme.
the actual real talent with timbo.

her content based record that is about ferguson is cut and past variation of lauren hill's cadence on that thing to the biter t.

this is coming from the only person to recognize tink's first grassroots hit.
before anyone even in the city was on it.
let alone the actual board,.....

there is no metric or showcase of skill to show that tink is as good as the bandwagoners have said.
tink is not even as skilled as the best new female emcee from the noisey/drill pr infatuated era.
who is viscious v, and viscious v does not have any of tink's resources on any level at all.
yet, visious v is a way better emcee, than tink.

this whole shyt, is all just because of a feature with ross, and jay.
two anemically skilled rappers.
one, who was never dope and a early third cycle incarnation big impersonator/impressionist, and biter.
the other in jay, big's biggest biter and the biggest style/morph unoriginal biter in rap history to chart.
who has not shown or killed't a verse on par with what would be connected as jay being skilled.
jay has not been skilled since volume iii.
as we don't know when or where lupe picked up the pen game slack for jay.
as first and 15th was operating when bp dropped.
plus, the black album,..was written by lupe.

so, this whole infatuation with tink is all bandwagon semantics and bullshyt.
you can't fool,...

It's not even about the volume of the work. It's about what people have actually heard from both. Ms. Jade actually has a major label debut where Tink doesn't.

I agree that Girl Interrupted was mishandled.

The thing is that Timbaland also hyped Jade. He said she was the female Biggie. Jade had more going for her pre-album than Tink, but it didn't translate. Tim released a snippet of Jade's track with Jay Z (not a blend or a cut/paste job, but a real song). She was on official remixes (Nelly Furtado's "Turn Off The Lights" and Tweet's "Oops"). She was also featured on Missy's two biggest albums.

With Tink, I don't necessarily like the "She's the next (insert great, legendary artist)" because it places very high expectations on a new artist. I like Tink and I hear content and little pieces of Lauryn in her. I need an album before I could ever say she's as great as she's being made out to be though.

tink has i wanna say four mixtapes out, in two years.
where, you can use to guage.
in a shorter time span than ms jade's early discog and intermittent mixtape releases.
where, they show a full feature and host of what tink offers.
which is very little even with the rampup possibility.
of tink writing up because of the occasion and presence of timbo.
,..she is better served as a strictly rnb singer, period.
she floats in between tweet level of interest as an rnb artist.
in this rnb has taken and forced out anything rap as a quality submission in general.
she will do well in that regard.
as a rapper, she will be exposed, by people looking for more .
as she does not have the rhymes to hold anyone's attention bar to bar, song to song.
especially following timbo's excessive pr of her.

Why y'all mad people are taking notice of a bubbling artist that is displaying some type of talent as opposed to the rest of the artist her age coming out of Chicago. :what:

Not our fault Ms. Jade didnt catch on. Move on.
