I cant speak for others but my net has gone out multiple times during Hurricane and Tornado season(Northern Louisiana). I'll still have power but my net sometimes goes down.

Here is Comcast' answer under their "Hurricane Season"


you can have power and no internet, cable during storms. and sometimes it can take multiple days to get things back up.

and like I said before, when it goes out, I game.

Living in Central Louisiana, I can concur with you about internet access being knocked out during bad weather (usually out for around 7-10 days around here).

gotcha, I live a little east from there. Pecanland Mall(holiday shopping) and Family and friends usually have me coming to Monroe quite a bit.
