ah the kids gloves of being subjected to an at times invasive procedure through a rape kit, having your (sexual) history and clothing choices questioned as if they were relevant, and a defense tactic that almost always revolves around painting the accuser as a slut that was asking for it
rape accusations are one of the hardest things to prove in court because a lot of times they come down to he said/she said so a lot of accusations never even make it to court, there's never a moment where the kids gloves come out for anyone

Before that, Bill was the equivalent of say...Mike Epps. He wasn't generating "immense wealth"

in the 70s he already had the resume and the connections, fat albert was a big hit and the movies he was in were relatively successful, the cosby show solidified his status as an icon but he was already on his way there

So you dont want an ivestigation cause its uncomfortable. Foh was it more uncomfortable than rape that could happen again cause you didnt come forward. Almost all of the 20-25 women who've come after him with rape allegations (in the same year) are incredible as far as their stories go. Their stories don't even make sense when you pay attention to the details. There are too many inconsistencies. Moreover, nothing has been substantiated. Very little separates the testimonies of most of the accusers from fictional essays.
Also, as has been mentioned before, there was NO WAY a black man (high-profile celebrity or not) was drugging and raping women (esp. white women) in the 70s and 80s and nothing happened to him. America just doesn't function like that.
Moreover, everybody's innocent until proven guilty. Until he's been charged, indicted, and adjudged a rapist, he is not a rapist, nor should he be labelled as one.
If y'all can't see that Cosby is being set up, I can't help you. It doesn't make sense that multiple women all come forth with the same accusations in one year after multiple decades of silence.
The saddest thing about this is that many black people are CELEBRATING Cosby being accused of rape just because they disagree with his outlook on the black community.

To go to court, you have to be arrested....
to be arrested, they have to have reason to believe you committed a particular crime...
...which is why evidence is important.
If some evidence comes out that incriminates Bill, then he deserves all the villification he's getting...but not a second before.
