That said, don't think voting with Republicans is going to do shyt for you. Everyone says someone is "not doing anything" but won't quote specifics. If I want reparations above all, everyone is failing us and you shouldn't vote with conservatives like it is a chess movebut know what you want and who can give it to you:

Better policing? Take that up with your Mayor.
More funding to community initiatives? Ditto.
Zoning issues for more affordable housing?
Equity in public school funding?

Find out who is in charge of those things and work it out. The ONLY issue I have with "We aren't getting anything with our vote" types are they usually can't name the people who are screwing them. Don't bring up Biden for local issues: the mothafukka screwing you lives in your City or county. The guy who *might* have offered tangibles on the local level just lost by 3000 votes. Guess what? Yes to both questions and I used to audit Grady and Wellstar hospitals. And I state again they are some of the worst ran health systems. So I used to know exactly what their funding issues were when I audit them. And let me state while writing "Get it from God" on collection notices is maybe funny to you and maybe. Financial institutions, lenders and vendors don't find it funny. They want their money.

If it isn't fireworks and bullhorns, folks are not tuning in to learn details. I don't mind spending 20 minutes every few days reading something about someone that might be beneficial. Everyone else gets their info from social media randoms and whatever personality they like who skews the message. If there isn't a real way to convey a message and STAY on the message through multiple cycles and during times where there isn't a looming election, it will continue to fail. Most importantly, it has to be grassroots. If folks aren't building coalitions in their own areas, they have no real investment other than "Who is doing the most big thing for me?" even if that big thing is unlikely to happen. We got years of work to do but folks want that overnight. It's hard to conceive of bridging that gap.

Son, its the state laws. The state has been run by republicans for decades (and the southern Dixiecrats)

Theres never been a "left wing" government attempting to fix this issue in Georgia. This is ALL on Kemp and his precursors.

Why?

The state never even made adjustments that other states like cali do where you can't close a hospital on a dime, you have to give ample time to the community.

Plus the state doesn't have laws to allow independent emergency rooms like you see in Texas.

Black people are 12% of the population. On top of that, most black politicians aren't elected by a majority black districts. Did you know this?

So if you want black politicians who ONLY cater to black politicians AND can win, then you'll have EVEN FEWER black politicians.
