32 million/year salary for 14 years instead of paying less money to produce original content and play... music.
All the love for nostalgia, MTV should have done a Retro MTV block if they still own the rights to their original programs from back in the day.
Too many of these cable companies fumblin' all types of bags.

:francis::francis::francis:

Reason I got rid of cable.

It just shows that those execs that ran that channel really dont know shyt. MTV been trash for a LONG TIME too.

And its sad how so many people on here acting like him getting paid 32 million a year for 14 years while making a corny ass show is cool. :camby: Im offended actually.

You mean like they used to? The Real World fathered all this reality tv shyt anyway. They could've easily just pivoted, changed their name and merge with VH1 once videos died out and basically been like E or Bravo for Paramount now.

Actually that was COPS

MTV might be finished soon

A shame that they haven’t even tried to do anything remotely music related in years.

These bozos could’ve EASILY bought pandora or Spotify in their early days and rebranded it as an MTV streaming music app with music videos integrated. With their relationships with the music industry it would’ve been a layup.
