MTV has been zombie status for 20 years. Internet killed the Video Star.
Why it's an outdated medium for music and news, online is superior.A shame that they haven’t even tried to do anything remotely music related in years.
These bozos could’ve EASILY bought pandora or Spotify in their early days and rebranded it as an MTV streaming music app with music videos integrated. With their relationships with the music industry it would’ve been a layup.

There was a short spurt ( a few years back) MTV tried to bring back TRL, of course the show didn't work in today's climate of TV.A shame that they haven’t even tried to do anything remotely music related in years.
Him and RuPaul. While I ain't RuPaul's demographic, can't deny the fact he carried Logo TV, VH1 and currently MTVNick Cannon got a bag for WildNOut

Their business model got disrupted thanks to the internetI don’t understand how MTV could become a channel that plays this one dumb ass show all day who tf was watching that

Yup the internet made MTV obsolete at least the music part. Same thing happened to 106 & Park and G4/TechTv.Their business model got disrupted thanks to the internet
Tf they gonna play now?![]()

If them two were to dip from Paramount right now, it'll do some damage.

They used to on their other channels like MTV Jams and MTV hits. I honestly don't know if they still do since that was over 10 years ago. This
MTV could make a bag and stay somehow relevant by using their huge catalog wisely
People are craving for nostalgia
