Obviously because unlike Future, his album didn't flop terribly & he has a platinum single.
Doesn't matter who are featured on it, because all of those artists are also gonna be above Future on that list.
I'm tryin to tell you... this is MTV, no matter how hot Future is right now w/ his features & singles, his album still flopped & that's one of the things that matters when there's other artists with gold albums & more succesful singles around.
but the list is called the "hottest" MCs in the game right? Future currently has at least 10 songs in heavy rotation in the clubs right now...and I don't even here them play asap's part on his own single...True... but still. Singles are only 1 thing. Just like album sales. That's why ASAP probably won't be that high either

Pluto came out too early before his singles started to take off outside of the south...he would have moved more units imo if it dropped later than it did last year....not to mention nikkaz was still fukkin with Astranaut Status when Pluto kame out.....

Now, I'm not even sayin Future shouldn't be higher if hip hop listeners or some random hip hop site made the same list, I'm just sayin that it makes sense that he's #9 on this list right now because it's MTV's hottest MCs list.
