shes right, if somebody is not willing to give up their culture they shouldnt go to another country but on the other hand if a country isnt prepared to change and adapt to new immigrants then the shouldnt let them in

this whole notion of having groups with their own culture and language in the same country is a recipe for disaster, it reduces social cohesion and decreases the ability to govern

this is why i'm so pro-american...you can tell who doesn't have a passport or who is still soaking up that Freshman sociology and lacks anything beyond a textbook or assigned reading.

germany's a great country, wanna go back there sometime. people there are less uptight & seem to be a lil more intelligent. most people i ran into spoke english...visited some old castles, saw the concentration camps in dachau, watched boxing & soccer w/ raucous crowds, ate at middle eastern restaurants in stuttgart....immigrants have it good over there

this is true.

what should happen and what multiculturalism should mean is this.
1. speak the language of the country your in. we will teach you. this aint your home country dont come in trying to change the language. (america technically doesnt have a true home language which is why anyone can come in speaking whatever they like.)

2.your kids should go to the same schools as all the others. no separating. and they should all be treated equally. if not, then those treating them unequally will have to pay fines and may be jailed. this stops the cism.

3. you have a ton of mix cultural events inviting all groups to participate. large festivals country wide in every city if need be.

4.if people want to live in little pockets where others like them live. let them. just make darn sure they dont live in little POOR pockets. thats the problem. just like you see MIX use housing in america where some poor, some middle class, some upper middle may stay in the same spots. thats the way it should be across a country. no heavy concentration of poor people. period. because we know how that turns out.
