TAMPA, Fla. – A jury found a Jacksonville woman guilty of manslaughter on Friday in the murder trial of Charles Jones, a Jacksonville rapper known as “Julio Foolio."

The jury reached its verdict after nearly four hours of deliberation. The jury also found Alicia Andrews, 21, not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.

Andrews’ sentencing will be Dec. 8 at 8:30 a.m.

Andrews is the first of five people accused in the shooting to go to trial. She is the only defendant not facing the death penalty in the case.

Jones, 26, was shot and killed on June 23, 2024, in an ambush attack while celebrating his birthday in Tampa.

Court documents accuse Andrews, Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy of traveling from Jacksonville to Tampa on June 22, 2024, in two separate cars to find and kill Jones in retaliation for an ongoing Jacksonville gang war between 6Block and allied gangs, ATK and 1200.

To be fair they didn’t really have any evidence of her talking about the murder at all. It’s obvious she knew about the plan but she had a lot of plausible deniability.

It also looks like the jury felt for her being abused, so it was believable he just made her go wherever he told her to go.

She had one of the worst lawyers I’ve ever seen so this may have been the best outcome for her
