I swear, when I hear a song that has multiple co-producers, I be like "it took that many nikkaz to come up with that shyt?:dahell:"

And when it's wack production, it makes it even worse. Case in point, that damn Yeezus album:scusthov:

I still have the album on my phone, but im close to deletin that shyt. I tried to bump it again today, but I couldnt get thru it and went back to Trap House 3:blessed:

I can hear the genius in the multiple producer thing on late registration and mbdtf, but that yeezus.....

A person can say one line tho and get a credit. If you sample an artist they get credit too. Even if kanye rapped and made the beat it would never say just his name.

In other genre of music this type of the thing happens ALL THE fukkING TIME you morons.

We are different with hip hop because our music is loop based. All it should take it one guy to sample a loop and add this and that to it. Which is why hip hop blew up. Every and anybody can find loops and start rapping.

Kanye wants to take his music outside of the typical hip hop music recording realm. It's still his vision. It's not like he gets a bunch of beats and rap to him. If you read the article about the producers on the album, Ye would hear something then bring them into the studio to turn into something else to fit what he wants for his project. Half the album was redone. This is the process

Producer a has a beat kanye likes

Kanye invites producer a to work along with producer b and c. Kanye thinks a guitar solo works for the track. He gets producer b since he good with guitar. Now the track needs some keys. Producer c who is good with keys comes in. Hence 5 co-producers on one track. It's because one dude is wack or lack anything. Kanye just uses his full resources and they all work together to make the best track possible.

i think it's pretty weak as fukk too.
let one man's creativity shine, all this idea tossing is lame.
kick the homies outta the studio, mc and producer-do your thing.

What??? I think you just dont like Yeezus man.

Some producers work better by themselves, some work better on collabs. In any case... its just about creating the best possible product. Anyone who works as a professional artist is gonna know how to maximize their potential, so if they dont do solo stuff its probably for the best.

Btw the greatest albums have overwhelmingly been crafted by more then one person. I think its about time hip hop artists have caught on to that.

I mean you could make a very convincing argument that the highly regarded rock albums are superior to the highly regarded hip hop albums, because its the work of 4-5 people vs the work of just 2.

Nah I cant agree with this. It doesnt matter how many ppl it takes to make a record all I care about is the end product. Yeezus wasnt whack cause it had multiple producers, it was just whack. All kanye albums have multiple producers (jon brion, mike dean, jeff bhasker).
