Not bad for a free game but not fukking with smash. It looks competent but lacking in spirit and charm that smash has. All the clones are emulating the surface of what smash is and nothing on the technical side.

They don't own the genre. Imagine if Street Fighter 2 just added characters from other games. No MK or whatever next. I agree they need to bring it with a budget and talent working on these titles. If you gonna do it. Do it

I was in the smash thread talking about the next smash game concept being a versus format game having supporting player elements being the focus for gameplay and combo mechanics. It seems the devs for this game are going in that direction, and if executed nicely it would be very very fun especially since it's crossplay too.

let the game drop first because Fortnite had a lot of Esport/really popular streamers help, and accessibly addictive gameplay mechanics.
