Murder. Im assuming the victim was sitting down writing. If they did commit suicide the short would be shooting on the left side of their head resulting in the blood splatter to the right on the wall.

The gun was placed with the right hand (wrong hand) if the victim did shoot themselves it would be with the left hand and blood splatter to the right.
