As a kid the video used to scare me lol. I heard the remix first and always assumed it was the OG for years till I got older and heard Doggystyle.

I lean toward the remix but I've heard it so much that it's more interesting to listen to the OG at this point.

its amazing to think a song as dark and demonic as this was a hit lol

On top of that it's an anomaly in Snoop's catalogue. He never got that "dark" again. It's a song you'd expect to hear from Scarface or a horrorcore artist. I remember an interview where Snoop said he never wanted to make dark tracks like that again, especially after his murder case was over.

That's understandable but it would have been dope if Snoop could have made more joints not necessarily as dark but with serious storytelling and menacing beats. It would definitely make a lot of people rethink his position as an emcee.

its a shame..between that and serial killa are some of snoop's best performances too

The Bones soundtrack would've been the perfect opportunity to explore those type of tracks
