GT is a top flight engineering school. They have tough academic standards and require their athletes to do more than most schools in the ACC and SEC.

After seeing how Coach Strong was treated at Texas, If I'm Black Coach I wouldn't want a Head Coaching job at a blueblood CFB program. Give me the Head coaching job at 1 of these sleeping giant programs instead like UCLA, Georgia Tech, or UNC.

What are some other sleeping giant programs? I've heard folks say that UVA & Maryland are considered sleeping giants. Do y'all co-sign that?

Ga Tech isn't in the SEC and why would Charlie go there? It's a difficult school to get into academically, is already paying its current coach Paul Johnson to be mediocre for big money and lacks anything close to modern equipment or facilities. Tech has money problems when it comes to athletics...not sure why any coach with a name would be attracted to that situation and that's IF the job came open which it will not

Franklin has a chance at Penn State. He took over a program under severe sanctions and is starting to build it back up.
