Yeah...I liked industrial back in the day...cause mainly I just like stuff with beats and drums and percussion. Plus they always had the dope album covers..
Alot of that early 90s to mid 90s industrial kind of heavy and beat oriented. I mean the lead singer of KMFDM does like techno and stuff. And Ministry. I liked how the incorporated the electronics and the drum machine beats with metal. I've laways respect acts that have a consistency to them as far as music to aesthetic. They've done that well...like ICP. I don't even listen to them that much, I was aware of them when I was younger and never really bought any albums (I got a free Psychopathic REcords CD from NRM back in 1999...lol). That jester jack in the box dark clown shyt is dope as hell. Reminds me of some sourther hip-hop hop stuff. I've always respected them cause they created a niche and a subculture...and like in this timeframe there are very few acts in the world that have developed a subculture based on one group. That's what's cool about the Juggalo shyt. I know people laugh at it, but I honestly would like to go to the gathering of the juggalos one of these days. It looks fun, and they've had mad hip-hop acts over ther years play there.
@Juggalo Fred
It inspired me for this Chopped & Screwed mix I made a couple of days ago...
Much of the inspirations was dfrom that 3 six inspired like demonic trap that memphis shyt. DJ Screw is also a huge inspiration of mine too. I love chopped and screwed...I really like Screw and Michael Watts chopped and screwed. I liked the skull pen and pixel stuff too. Like hip-hop is dope cause it crosses all artform and cultural boundaries. And that's the foundation of my musical inspirations and just life in general.
BTW...that "White Iverson" track grew on me like a motherfukker.
