I tried backing up my playlists with one of them stream ripping sites. Them shyts suck. Alot of the files were all fukked up. And Spotify threatened to ban me. I understand the value of backing up tracks that could end up being rare. But I hope the game goes the other way...when it comes to music...its just too much work trying to hoard music. I think the streaming services that adapt and implement things that bring the value to us users is what will set them apart. Theres always gonna be folks who bypass that monthly fee...but nobody should be pirating because the streaming service isnt providing the music you want to hear. I would be willing to bet that many of us legal streamers have simultaneously been involved in pirating (under this study's guidelines) at one time or another just trying to regularly listen to some songs that weren't available on DSPs.
Nobody's gonna carry around a bunch of CD's in 202XPersonal plex serverWhere do you even go to pirate songs anymore? And where do you even put then to listen to them?
Why would I want to go back to the days of downloading a song, hooking my mp3 to the computer and dragging and dropping songs when I can just go to a streaming service or YouTube and listen? Just seems like some nostalgia bait.
I do......... While, don't necessarily carry them around. But I still cop CDsNobody's gonna carry around a bunch of CD's in 202X
