I ain't taken shyt away from Pete Rock. He is in my top 5 of hip hop producers. But let's keep it 100. His body of work is no where near as stellar as RZA.

We can go back and fourth with this all day but I'm a just leave it at that.

Good thread. I like The RZA but I personally prefer Pete Rock's style a little more. I can understand why some would put RZA higher based off that amazing run RZA had in the mid till late 90s with all the Wu Tang releases.

In any case along with Premier they were best doing the east coast sound from that era. I would throw in Q-Tip in there as well, as always thought he was little underrated but it was always a little unclear who was doing those Tribe beats.
