That's what will most likely end up happening, but he's going to waste a ton of money with all of the inefficiency due to new recruits having to spend months learning the codebase before altering it

Elon literally showed his hands months ago when he said he admired that Chinese 'burn the 2am oil' culture... In other words, he wants economic slaves who work nonstop for little compensation. A lot of people overlook who he is because he smokes weed publicly and appears in public here and there.

I dont use Twitter, but I dont think they are working on any cutting edge tech where they would need to keep some Industry SME types happy. The only thing I can see them doing is more so running lean as hell and giving the few who do stay good equity. Amazon for example is seen as the 'worst' culturally big tech wise, but the equity is enough to make you stay 4 yrs to vest completely (assuming you dont get pip'd) then bounce

the geopolitics kinda disrupted that. Trump slowed down that stuff (it still happened but it wasn't a free for all like it used to be), and the Ukraine stuff has messed up stuff too (Eastern Europe tends to have better low cost devs than the traditional India outsourcing, and India has way more home grown solid tech companies where some folks are actually choosing to just stay there).
