Can someone explain to me things about Islam. I know they believe in Muhammad and Allah is their God. I'm looking at a religion to study, so I can see if it's right for me.

You have to read the quran to study it.
then read the story of Muhammad.... like his auto bio,
then look to your own culture and see who in it practices Islam and how they do it - because in Indonesia, mid east , africa, etc people do it different ways inline with their culture. IT's not like Christianity and other things were it destroys your roots........... for example, in some muslims tribes today they still do ancient african traditions along side it.

You must of been missing history lesson It took the Arab military 80 years to conquer Syria to the north of France, they Also got as far east as Nepal. Wherever they conquered they forced the conquered people to submit to their religion. History shows us whenever a people are conquered they are assimilated to their rulers religion, whether it be by passive or reactive force.
