Mohammed was a conqueror who united nomadic arabian tribes. He and his minions created a ideology that justified the looting, raping and enslavement of non muslims. This ideology was used by various other Islamic rulers to subjugate Africa as well as other places. Other religions were used in this manner as well but their founders were not conquerors. In any case , African spiritual systems are its own distinct entity, and the introduction of islam has had immense negative consequences for the African continent.

A lot of those former members of the Nation and their children are very much pro Black and work in and for the community. They work with churches and schools for community events. They get involved in local politics they organize as well as anyone. The reason you don't hear about it so much is because they are still a relatively small bloc in relation to the African-American community as a whole.

My point is: non-Arab Muslims generally do not use Arabs as a point of reference when it comes to religion. Turks have Turkish scholars that they go to, Somalis have Somali scholars etc.. The way that the minister worded his comment made it seem like Arabs are the standard bearers or something.
Their status took a sharp decline shortly after the last righteous khalifa. It's been non-Arabs who have been holding it down since then.

But your point isn't addressing his point which was Black muslims, in particular AA, looking elsewhere instead of the Quran/Bible to learn what being a true muslim is. Thus why he arbitrarily mentioned Arabs and Pakistanis, not as disrespect or questioning their understanding of islam
