That's only a small portion of legals though and I agree since their LEGAL they should be allowed to stay... however the number of illegal immigrants and refugees outnumbers the legals by almost 10>1 and I can't think of any logical reason as to why americans would be find with them staying here.... I understand trump language is aggressive, unnerving and intimidating but he is absolutely spot on as far as this situation is concerned.

Stay on topic? The heading of the thread is discussing LEGAL people. People are protesting LEGAL people being detained. The ACLU was addressing legal people being denied re-entry. The judge has blocked the part about Trump picking on these people who have already jumped through hoops to be LEGAL.

these are interesting times and people have to think long and hard about certain things. On one hand i understand the need to vet people and control the amount of them that come here from certain places especially now as ISIS is on its last legs on the ground and its fighters are scattering like roaches across the region but on the other hand with trump and his cronies like bannon i have a bad feeling that this was just testing the water for much worst.

1) it seems like this order didn't involve state dep and office of legal counsel oversite on how to carry it out and was left up to people on the ground about which green card holders to send back. imagine when trump send in the "feds" to clean up chicago and other inner cities and it was left up to the "agents" on the ground how to execute and carry out their orders without much oversite

2) from reports and even social media it seems like a lot of LEOs are too happy to carry out trump orders even if other branches of government say otherwise. It seems like a lot of departments and military people across the country can't wait to carry out trump orders directly.

3) trump put bannon at the top of the security council

these are troubling times indeed.
