Nothing explicit, maybe, but all of these words have a history that harkens back to the colonial era and orientalism. Even if they weren't intentional, the implications are very real. This is the exact language that was employed by racists, imperialists, etc. At the very least I think it's insensitive.

More objectively, in the sense of without this context? Sure, but that doesn't mean the similarly-objective effects and context of such language should be disregarded since those will also affect the intended outcome.

I should also add that this language plays right into the post-Huntington, Neocon "Clash of Civilizations" narrative.
