I know that feeling. I put $3K into my 2002 Olds Intrigue the same year it died on me. Ended up paying $18K for a 2016 Civic in 2019. I tried my hardest to starve off another car payment.
The 2021 Camry SE I drove last week was wonderful. Only had 300 miles on it..lol.

2010 Camry died on me could be the alternator or something else gonna be at least 1k to fix thinking about getting something new
alternator when you jump start the battery and remove the cables car will cut off, if car stays running when you remove the cables it’s prob something else.
If it is the alternator you can fix it yourself for less than $300
It’s like watching an older relative drift off into the sunset. It’s actually my pop’s car but he lets me drive it.
Had my guy replace the entire engine last month, and now the O2 sensor and catalytic converter went out yesterday. That’s about 7k worth of work, after this I’m finished
After I get this fixed, if something else comes up Ima cop a used Camry for about 9k. Brehs It was good while it lasted but all good things must come to an end
You put 7K in a 19 yr old car? Probably more than the car is worth if it was working...

Car stays running when cables removed
Your alt is prob good then, what other symptoms does it have?
Even if you are over the car and just want something new you can fix whatever is wrong and flip it.
An 04 Camry would still pull in a couple grand

So the shop said it was the alternator and also some shyt where there was no signal going to the accelerator . Ultimately charged me 900 for a new battery and alternator. The plan is to just trade it in before something else happens . Bought it originally for 4K

If it's a Camry, and the body isn't rusting, I'd say do the repairs, and get 10+ more years outta it. It's better than having to buy one of those good new cars staring at 75k, especially some of those hybrids.
