My 2004 Honda Pilot engine sounds like a quiet sewing machine thanks to Mobil 1™ Extended Performance High Mileage oil .

Honda service (I longer use them) and now my neighborhood mechanic/s has done most of the major repairs.

I paid cash money for it back in 2007.
No car note/auto loan, nor high insurance costs makes me a very happy camper.

I miss my old car. This 2016 cost me about $260 a month to operate including car payment, insurance, registration and fuel. The old one was less than half that.

2010 Camry died on me could be the alternator or something else gonna be at least 1k to fix thinking about getting something new
Got the same thing with my grandad 2000 Lexus. Check engine light on. Stays on without cables but the battery either overheat or dies. The battery was just replaced a few months ago. Whats the issue? The last time I went to the shop they said it was good. I aint tryna pay 1k cause its at 200k

:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:
I’m bout to drop 2200 for a transmission rebuild for my 07 Acura

Beats having a $400 car note for the next 4 years

Otherwise I do all my own maintenance. Overhauled the whole front suspension last summer. Struts, axles, ball joints, tie rods, control arm. Mf ride like a dream now.

These Midwest roads show no mercy to a car’s suspension :wow:

7k for a 16 year old car? Financial literacy ain't your strong suit i guess.

I have a 2004 Civic that I replaced the sensor on.. ordered a non working piece of shyt from China off ebay at first then got a good part from Rock Auto. Replaced the spark plugs etc... still running decent but admittedly it only has 72k miles on it.. never drove when I lived in DC.
Are 80’s cutlass supreme easy cheap cars to repair(yourself or professionally)? My uncle trying to pass one down to me but I’m weighing it..he trying to pass it down to me or my cousin cuz we take care of our cars.
